Case Study: Using SimTeam for a Development Centre of 300+ managers

 

We are happy to announce that our latest big project, a Development Centre for Deutsche Telekom’s Hungarian entity, has successfully been finished. Hand-in-hand with HR consulting experts SimTeam participated in the assessment of more than 300 managers of Telekom.

Telekom's managers were assessed in small teams while they were operating a virtual holding company. Every team participated in a one day long series of exercises, including presentations, management decision making, cooperation and negotiation skills.

Telekom’s managers were assessed in teams of 4, 5 or 6 people. We prepared a simulation case study for every scenario, markets were a bit different when there were less or more participants. Every team member was the head of a virtual business unit, and they operated one big holding company together.

A personalized experience
We prepared the simulation with a couple of major and unique changes. For instance, we replaced the virtual employees’ names to match the Hungarian standards, and uploaded new pictures for them as part of an extra exercise during the Development Centre. The most important change in SimTeam was programming related, as we tweaked the system to allow all the team members to have the same capabilities inside the simulation platform - they all could make bids on the market, assign employees to projects, request for loans, therefore making cooperation and intra-team communication even more important.
